Email: commercial@no5.com Tel: +44 (0)870 203 5555 After 15 years working in the construction industry, I was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1994. Following my call I worked for two construction industry plcs as In House Counsel. I have been in independent practice at No. 5 Chambers in Birmingham since 2000. Naturally, my practice specialises in work relating to the construction industry. I have significant experience of all major forms of standard contract JCT, ICE 5th, 6th, 7th, NEC, I CHEM E, I Mech E, GC Works, FIDIC, the Singapore Standard form. I regularly appear in the Technology and Construction Court as well as other civil courts. I am a member of TECBAR. My experience of the construction industry (now 29 years), combined with practice at the bar means that I am well placed to act for parties from a very early stage from claims developing into disputes all the way through to the highest courts in the land. I act as an advocate in Court, Arbitration, Mediation and Adjudication. I also give advice in relation to strategic management of claims and disputes as well as drafting contracts and other documentation. As the bar operates as a referral profession I receives instruction from solicitors and construction professionals such as Chartered Surveyor's Architects and Civil Engineers. Recent Reported Cases include: Parsons Plastics (Research & Development) Ltd v Purac Ltd [2002] EWCA Civ 459 12th April 2002 ;[2002] BLR 334;CILL1868; adjudication.co.uk.
